OLD ACADEMY PLAYERS PRESENTS THE 2026 SUMMER ONE-ACT BONANZA
Philadelphia, PA — The Old Academy Players finishes its 2025-2026 season on a comedic high as the Summer One-Act Bonanza takes the stage! The annual short play festival will be presented on two weekends July 10 – 19, 2026, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, and Sundays at 2 pm.
Featuring 7 short works from playwrights within our own theater and across the country, and a talented cast of 23, this fast-paced, light-hearted presentation is just what you're looking for this summer!
Crowbar written by Sara Freedman; directed by Doug Tague
A discussion of crows (of all things) leads to an unexpected intergenerational connection.

Actors John and Mary are in the middle of a romantic scene but have to scramble when their scene partner keeps missing his cue.

Old Academy Players is located at 3544 Indian Queen Lane, Philadelphia, PA 19129 and offers complimentary parking in its private lot.
Established in 1923, the Old Academy Players is a diverse and inclusive non-profit volunteer theater organization with the mission "to provide extraordinary and enjoyable theater at an affordable price." The players perform in the historic Old Academy Building, a 200-year-old building home to "OAP" since 1932. The theater is distinguished by its most notable alumna, Hollywood icon and East Falls native Grace Kelly whose old show programs are on display. Old Academy Players is a member of the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance. Support is generously provided by the "Philadelphia Cultural Fund" and the "Sylvia W. and Randle M. Kauders Foundation".
