Come to the Historic Henry Breeding Farm, at 13730 N 100 W, Edinburgh, IN 46124, for a day of games, food, engines, and fun at Summer on the Farm, Presented by Reeves! Hosted by the Bartholomew County Historical Society, this FREE event will be a family-friendly celebration of farm life and history. This is also a rare opportunity to see the famous Reeves engines -- both steam-powered and hit-and-miss -- in action! Schedule of Events:
11:00-12:30 Live music from the Bettis Band
12:00 Herbed tea and lemonade tastings
1:00 Watermelon seed-spitting contest
1:30 Hula Hoop contest
1:00-3:00 Live music from the Banister Bluegrass Band
ALL DAY ACTIVITIES:
Reeves engine demonstrations
Scavenger hunt
Kid’s crafts and activities, including life-sized Lincoln Logs and wagon rides
Sara's Happy Hives
Farm animal encounters
Pie baking
Garden tours
Historic apron exhibit
Demonstrations from blacksmiths and textile artists
Historic farmhouse tours
Delicious farm-inspired food from Miel on Wheels, as well as other refreshments, will be available for purchase.
