Matt Collette returns to SMPL with his workshop, “How To Write a Song in One Hour.” The founder of HRA Studios in West LA, Matt has mentored young musicians now touring the world and composing for film and television. For adults and teens.
This event is one of the four-part Summer of Strum! series at Santa Monica Public Library. Learn to play the “happiest instrument in the world” and experience the joy of making music with others. Learn ukulele basics in June, join a strum-along in July, take a songwriting workshop in August, then level up your playing in September. Library events are free and open to the public; space is limited and available on a first-arrival basis.
Saturday, August 17, 2 to 3:15 p.m. / Main Library, MLK Jr. Auditorium
