La Verdad is the Premier West Coast Latin music ensemble. True to its name. La Verdad is a collective of world-class musicians embodying the truth of the Los Angeles Latino experience. Collectively led by award winning singer, songwriter Gabriel Gonzalez (Quetzal, Boogaloo Assassins) They boast a traditional and original repertoire that spans the scope of Latin American route music including Salsa, Cha, Boogaloo, Funk, Cumbia, Latin Soul and more. Born in Havana, Cuba, Robert Rodriguez, known as Super DJ Robby, is considered one of the best salsa DJs in Los Angeles. He has performed with artists such as Oscar D’Leon, Los Van Van, Jose Alberto “El Canario”, Marc Anthony, Tito Nieves, and the late greats Celia Cruz and Tito Puente. His talent has also taken him to salsa festivals worldwide, with performances in Dubai, Zurich, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and more.
