Northwoods Herbalism is a seasonal class rooted in connection, curiosity, and community. Led by local herbalists, this offering invites both beginners and those with experience to come together to explore the plants that grow in our Northern Minnesota region, whether found in the wild or cultivated in our gardens.
Each class is guided by the season and the plants that are most relevant at that time. We will work with a variety of plants, sharing their traditional uses and exploring how they support the body’s needs throughout the seasons. We will also share how we personally work with them here in Ely and simple ways to incorporate them into your home and daily life.
Classes will vary throughout the year and may include demonstrations, tasting, and discussion. This approach allows us to remain responsive to the land, the growing season, and the natural rhythms of the plants.
Specific materials, herbs, and instructors will be announced as each seasonal offering approaches.
What to expect:
• Demonstrations, tasting, and shared herbal knowledge
• Practical ways to begin or deepen your home herbal practice
• A welcoming space for curiosity, learning, and connection
