About this Event

Join us this Summer at the University of Redlands Gregory Hall, Room 161 to view thought-provoking films. Following each film, we'll take some time to discuss its impacts and any insights or questions it brought up.

On Saturday, July 18th, join us for the beloved movie, WALL-E. Critics celebrate Pixar's ingenuity in creating a nearly wordless, Chaplinesque love story. The film's opening act - which follows a lonely trash-compacting robot on a desolate, garbage-strewn Earth - is often highlighted as a masterclass in animation and environmental world-building. The movie is celebrated for seamlessly blending a touching romance with heavy, timely subtexts about consumerism, climate change and human reliance on technology. Plan to stay for a stimulating discussion after the film.

Doors open at 5:45 and films begin at 6:00 pm. Register today and invite your neighbors, friends and family!

Be sure to join us on June 20th for a free screening of THE HUMAN ELEMENT. Follow our page and stay tuned for additional events on a variety of topics pertaining to climate change and our community.
