The Summer Basketball Festival is back for its 11th year! It’s a celebration of the rising basketball culture in Australia and offers the best elements of a summer block party: 

DJ's, MC's, Live Artists, open air bars, food vendors, activations and more… 

SUMMER JAM SATURDAY features:

+ U21 Summer Jam Championship

+ Men & Women's Red Bull Half Court Championship 

+ Crowd games and prizes presented by Jordan x Foot Locker

FURTHER INFORMATION:

Arrive early as you will be greeted with lo-fi beats suited for a Saturday morning as we welcome the best Men's and Women's teams in WA.

As the teams battle for the Red Bull Half Court Championship you also be able to take part in other activations, food trucks and open-air bars. MC's will invite the crowd into the action as plenty of prizes are up for grabs.

As the sun passes overhead Men’s and Women's Half Court Champions are crowned and the winners advance to Melbourne with the opportunity to represent Australia at the Red Bull Half Court World Final. U21's Summer Jam Championship begins as the best young talent battle to take the crown & bragging rights on a Saturday night.

FAQs

Do I need to print a ticket? On arrival at the venue, you will need to scan your ticket to receive a wristband. Tickets can be scanned on your mobile phone or you can print the ticket.

How do I find out the schedule? The Live Draw Event in early January will announce team matchups & schedule. Gates will officially open at 10am both Saturday & Sunday. Visit www.summerjam.com.au. 

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? Summer Jam 2023 is a family event. ID will be required for designated bar areas for 18+. 

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event? Perth Train Station exit Wellington St & Perth Underground exit Murray St are both a 1 minute walk to Forrest Chase.

What can I bring into the event? It is strongly recommended that you bring sunscreen and hats. Food trucks will be onsite with great food and beverages. A beer garden will be open for 18+ years old.

SUMMER JAM 2023 CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
The purpose of these Conditions of Entry is to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all patrons and participants in the Summer Jam, including customers, artists, players, crew, contractors and employees. You must comply with these Conditions and follow the reasonable directions of Summer Jam staff and management, as well as any signage in relation to your entry and use of the premises. We reserve the right to deny entry to or remove any person from the premises.
Your belongings you are responsible for the security of your own belongings while on the Premises and you must not have in your possession and/or refuse to surrender to the Summer Jam team members any prohibited items including but not limited to:
Illicit substances
Dangerous or inappropriate items (e.g. weapons, fireworks)
Professional cameras, selfie sticks, GoPros and iPads (personal camera phones are permitted unless otherwise advised – restrictions may apply to taking photographs or making recordings)
Glass and/or aluminium containers
Promotional material of any kind
Portable seating of any kind, tables, tents or sun shelters (unless otherwise advised)
Umbrellas or high vis workwear
We reserve the right to:
1. inspect and search you and your belongings prior to entry to the Premises and/or while you are on the Premises;
2. deny entry or remove you from the Premises (without refund) if you refuse to comply with these Conditions.
Your behaviour
You are responsible for behaving in a manner that does not interfere with the safety and enjoyment of others. Specifically, you must not:
behave in a manner which causes or may cause property damage or that threatens or may threaten the safety of players, performers, customers or any other persons; or
behave in a manner that unreasonably interferes with other audience members enjoyment of the Premises, including through the use of cameras, mobile phones, personal computers, paging devices or other electronic devices; or
behave in a disorderly manner including as a result of intoxication or display unlawful or offensive behaviour; or
behave in a rude or aggressive manner to any other person including Summer Jam staff and volunteers.
Other Responsibilities
You must not:
purchase or consume alcohol at or on the Premises unless you are 18 years of age or older;
enter areas of the Premises not open to the public, unless authorised by Summer Jam management.
Children
Unless expressly specified to the contrary, children under the age of 15 must at all times be under the supervision of a responsible adult (18 years of age or older) when attending the Summer Jam 2023.
For children aged 15 years old or over, parental discretion should be exercised regarding whether they can attend the Premises, including performances, without supervision.
Only adults who are 18 years of age or older and hold a valid form of ID will be permitted into the bar areas which are designated Over 18 areas. Patrons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult to access these areas.
Use of your image
You consent to and authorise us to film, record or photograph you (Recordings), and to reproduce Recordings in any audio, video, or photographic display or other transmission, exhibition, publication or reproduction in any medium or context for any purpose in any territory, in perpetuity without further authorisation by, or compensation or attribution to you. All Recordings are our sole property and you release us from liability arising on account of such usage.
Security cameras operate on the Premises and you acknowledge that you may be filmed when attending the Premises.
Tickets and Wristbands
A valid ticket will be exchanged for a wristband or accreditation card/lanyard to be fitted at the designated area near the entrance to the Summer Jam and must be worn at all times. Wristbands must remain intact to gain entrance to the Summer Jam. Damage to a wristband (even if accidental) will render it invalid and access to the venue denied.
Summer Jam 2023 has limited seating and you may be required to stand to see the basketball courts. We therefore reserve the right to ask you to stand at any time, should you occupy a seat that has been or may be reserved for another patron or sponsor.
Licensed Areas
The event is an all ages event. Anyone wishing to access licensed areas must be 18+ and show valid proof of Id. Patrons not carrying valid Id will be refused entry to the licensed areas.
Change of Date or Schedule
Summer Jam 2023 Management reserves the right to change the event date, venue, playing schedule, and substitute artists should it be necessary to do so. The Summer Jam 2023 Management will use all reasonable endeavours to notify Patrons of any changes. All tickets and registrations will remain valid and refunds will not be issued. Summer Jam 2023 Management may at its own discretion refund Patrons if the Event is cancelled due to calamitous weather or in the event of a Force Majeure event.
