Summer Inversions Workshop

Join Steph Lock and guest teacher James Sutton on Sat, 10th June at 11.15am for a 90 minute workshop at the wonderful Substation Brixton Studio where we will dive deep into the world of inversions including headstand, forearm stand and handstand.

Preparing the body by building strength with helpful drills, tips and exercises, we will then take the time to break the inversions down giving options for those who are nearer the start of their inversion journey and those who already have some air time and would like to consolidate their skills and play with different variations.

Guest teacher James is a fellow lover of all things movement and mindfulness and joins us from Parkour Generations where he teaches Hand Balancing and Parkour.

With our combined experience, we hope to help you build confidence in your inversion practice no matter your background and above all else make it fun!

We will also likely be sticking around for a coffee and a bite to eat after so feel free to join us.

While you do not need to be able to do a headstand/forearm stand or handstand to attend, some yoga/movement practice is highly recommended as a pre-requisite.

There will be partner assisted drills and we will be offering some physical adjustments. If for whatever reason you do not want to be assisted, please let us know at the beginning of the class although please bear in mind these are important for keeping you safe upside down.

We will be taking some group videos and pictures (discretely) during the workshop for Instagram marketing purposes.

This workshop is not suitable for pregnant women.
