Summer in the Park with Funky Christmas Carols and Revelry

Summer in the Park brings a bold, joyful twist to traditional Christmas celebrations, transforming the Angel Stage into a funk and soul Christmas party inspired by James Brown’s iconic Funky Christmas album plus traditional carols and Christmas songs.
Funky Christmas and Carols will be performed by Halo Vocal Ensemble and Community participants.
Plus, there’s plenty more to explore, with the Rose St. Arts & Craft Market, Food Truck Park, Christmas-themed workshops and Open Resident Artist Studios all happening on the day!
It’s Christmas at Gasworks—but funkier, more soulful and reflective of the incredible artists and diverse communities around us in City of Port Phillip.
ABOUT REVELRY
For 40 years Gasworks has been a home for creativity. At the centre of our precinct have been our resident artists. To celebrate our 40th birthday, our 14 resident artists are coming together for a group exhibition that will open at our Summer in the Park event in December 2026. Revelry will be a 14-artist activation of our creative precinct in a way that can only happen at Gasworks
