PHIL HEYWOOD is one of the Twin Cities’ most acclaimed acoustic guitarists, known for his crystal-clear tone, masterful fingerstyle technique, and warm baritone voice. A National Fingerpicking Champion and winner of the American Fingerstyle Guitar Festival, he has performed with artists including Leo Kottke, Pat Donohue, Spider John Koerner, and Chet Atkins, and has appeared on NPR’s A Prairie Home Companion. Through seven solo recordings and a repertoire that blends original compositions with roots-inspired traditions, Heywood creates music that is soulful, accessible, and and, as one fan put it, bound to “make your ears smile.” https://www.philheywood.com/
TIM SPARKS is an internationally acclaimed guitarist known for his extraordinary technique, inventive arrangements, and genre-spanning repertoire. He gained national recognition by winning the 1993 National Fingerpicking Championship with his groundbreaking adaptation of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite, now considered a landmark work for solo guitar. Drawing inspiration from classical music, country blues, jazz, and the musical traditions of the Balkans and Middle East, Sparks has developed a distinctive voice that has earned worldwide recognition and collaborations with leading artists and labels. With more than a dozen acclaimed recordings and a career that continues to evolve, he remains one of the most innovative and influential acoustic guitarists performing today. https://www.timsparksguitar.com/
