The Board of Christian Community will provide water, lemonade and summer treats at the covered pavilion near the Averill parking area. The first 800 ft of the trail are paved, so those with walking difficulties can participate. There is also a nature play area for
children at the end of the paved section. For those of you eager to hike, the Averill Preserve has a 1.9 mile loop trail that continues from the paved trail. Parking is somewhat limited, so this will be a drop-in event from 6:00-8:30 PM. Please carpool if
possible.
Directions: from Midland, take N Saginaw Road toward Sanford. The parking area is located on the left just past Carey Plumbing & Heating.
Since we will be walking on outdoor nature trails, you should expect uneven terrain (roots, rocks, possibly wet/muddy), and be prepared for the day's weather. In the event of rain, Saturday June 22nd at 11 AM is the alternate time.
