Summer Hang for Christian Singles - Lunar Gazing at Domino Park

There are so many great events already happening in the city and we want to take advantage of them in a casual setting with fellow singles. This will not be like one of our typical events! This is just a gathering of Christian singles ages 40s and 50s, with a chance to connect and build community.
To do:
Kindly RSVP on this event page AND also RSVP at the official event. This is a completely free event but we'd like to know how many people from our community are attending and we'd like to respect the requests of the original hosts.
What to expect about lunar gazing:
We don't have any other information besides what they offer on their event page: "Through a special telescope guided by Astro5, catch an up-close look of the moon as the sun sets. Come join us for lunar gazing at Domino Park! A telescope will be set up for an up-close look at the beautiful half moon as the sun sets. Early visitors can catch a glimpse of our sun in white light." This is new for us, too!
Is this a collaboration with the Lunar Gazing event hosts?
No. We just wanted to find a fun event where we could meet up but try something fun and new. This event is open to the public and there will be other people there. We'll have name tags available so you know who is associated with our group!
Will there be structured activities related to dating?
Nope! This will be a casual hangout where you can meet people in a similar life stage. We want to build community and expand our network to this age range to see how much interest there is.
Will there be equal men and women at this event?
We try to keep the numbers equal at our typical events, but since this is just a meet-up, we will NOT be following this same method for this particular event. (Hey, you never know if someone has a sibling/cousin/friend they could introduce you to!)
What should I bring?
We're planning to bring some blankets to sit on and maybe some snacks to share. We encourage you to bring a blanket, towel, or chair if you can, and snacks or beverages if you'd like, but no pressure!
How will I find you at the event?
Look for an email right before the event with more info. We'll have a distinct helium balloon with us (we'll let you know what shape it is), and we'll also provide a phone number where you can text us.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Lunar gazing depends on good, clear weather, so there's a chance they could cancel. We'll reach out if that happens--there might be a rain date or we can consider moving the hangout to a local indoor spot. Keep an eye out for details in that case!
