Summer Fun In The Park

🎉 Celebrate the end of summer and Raumati Reads with an exciting, action-packed morning at Olympic Park! 🌞

Bring the entire whānau for a day full of entertainment and fun, hosted by New Lynn Community Hub, Avondale Library, and Blockhouse Bay Library.

The festivities kick off at 10:15am with a fantastic Puppet Show by Hands Alive! 🎭 Then, from 11am onwards, enjoy hilarious entertainment with Captain Festus McBoyle and Mr Ebenezer Strong as they play music, tell stories, crack jokes, and lead fun games. Plus, there’s a FREE sausage sizzle, face painting, and Hungerball and basketball! 🍔🎨⚽

Explore the library bus and fire truck 🚒, get active with Play Ball Active 🏐, and enjoy giant games and much more! It’s the perfect way to wrap up the summer holidays. 🌟

Don’t forget to bring your sunhat and water bottle for a sun-soaked, fun-filled day! ☀️

🚶‍♀️🚌 Plan your travel in advance—no parking at Olympic Park! Check the AT transport website for the best way to get there, or take a walk from the New Lynn Transport Centre. You can also catch bus number 24R or find alternative off-road parking on Portage Road.

In case of rain, we’ll move the fun to the New Lynn Community Centre at 45 Totara Avenue, New Lynn—but the time and date stay the same!
