Summer Family Fun Day Out

Start the Summer holidays off with a BANG!

Join us at Margam Country Park for a Summer family fun day out. See your favourite characters including Pepper Pig and George, Paddington Bear and The Gruffalo and more. The day will feature live shows and performances, dancing, singing, photo opportunities and lots of fun!

We have invited Peppa Pig and George to the Park- Peppa Pig is a cheeky little pig who loves to jump in muddy puddles, especially with her little brother George, which always ends in snorts of laughter. Pop along and listen to tales of their adventures led by a narrator at intervals throughout the day.

Paddington Bear, an international TV star since 1975, since he first arrived at Paddington station and met Mr and Mrs Brown, Paddington has undeniably become one of the world’s classic bears. With his marmalade sandwiches and Wellington Boots, he’s become everyone's favourite. Pop up to the castle lawns for storytime led by a narrator.

The Gruffalo tells the story of a mouse who meets a Fox, Owl and Snake on his journey through the dark woods. In order to avoid becoming their tea, he describes a mythical monster named The Gruffalo to scare them away. As the mouse continues his journey into the woods, he soon discovers that the creature he’s invented does actually exist and finds himself having to convince The Gruffalo that he is the scariest animal in the woods. The Gruffalo has terrible tusks and claws. His knees are knobbly and he has a green wart on the end of his nose. He has orange eyes, a black tongue and purple spikes all over his back. He is looking forward to meeting you!

The day also features a selection of live shows, dancing, singing, photo opportunities and LOTS OF FUN! Join in the Princess Celebration, circus and play workshops, Lucy Lostit shows, meet 'The Hatter', see fire shows, spot The 1989 Batmobile, Toyland Car and the Flintstone mobile- YABADABADOOOOOO!.

A day not to be missed. The characters and shows are in the grounds of the Park - so come dressed for the weather!

DANSA Disability Bus is free to use and runs in a circuit from the Orangery Car Park up to the Castle - it can be used by the less able and is equipped with a wheelchair lift.

The event has limited ticket capacity with advance tickets ONLY.

W e are a Hynt scheme member. The Hynt scheme member would be required to purchase a ticket , the carers who attend the Hynt scheme member do not require a ticket but must be in attendance with the member.

THE 1989 BATMOBILE

The Batmobile 89 which is more famously known as the Tim Burton Batmobile, driven by Michael Keaton in the 1989 film Batman and its 1992 sequel Batman Returns. This incredible car from the superhero film is one of the most popular Boatmobile’s of all time. Featuring a fully operational flame thrower, pop up machine guns, police lights and a fully electric opening cockpit with illuminated lights inside, this car has it all!

Meet the “The Hatter' ...he will be seeking his friend Alice in and around the Orangery Gardens today... we fear he may be lost and he has no idea of the time!... do you look like Alice? or even a Dormouse? Would you care for a cup of bubbles? He likes bubbles...

Lucy Lost-it- Prepare for a journey beyond the ordinary as you enter the captivating world of Lucy Lost-it. Lucy Lost-its show is a dazzling spectacle filled with enchanting magic, delightful balloons, mesmerizing puppetry, and awe-inspiring circus skills. Brace yourself for a laughter-filled experience that will accompany you on the entire journey home.
