Summer Day Retreat to prepare for the season through the senses

In Katonah Yoga we reference Taoist Five Elemental Theory and associate Joy, the element of Fire, the organ of the Heart, and the articulation of speech. During this in studio retreat we will explore all of this and more. Our time together will weave through a nourishing yoga practice, including pranayama and a sound bath. We will discuss the theoretical and practical implications about the seasons and delve into simple herbal and Ayurvedic practices to deal with the heat. Lunch, snacks and beverages will be provided so our senses can delight in all that Summer has to offer.

Your retreat leaders will set the tone for exploratory practices meant to help you re-charge. You’ll be engaged with the tactile tools and transformative insights that this dynamic duo has to offer.

Itinerary:

12:00-1:15pm Practice

1:30-2:15pm Lunch

2:15-4:15pm Learn

4:15-5:00pm Sound Bath
