Summer Dance at The Opera

Jo Strømgren Kompani and The Norwegian Opera and Ballet are exited to present a unique Summer Dance Program in Oslo for the whole family 27th of June – 9th of July! 

The summer program consists of three short performances each day and you will also have the chance to get a special guided tour of the Opera house.

A DANCE TRIBUTE TO THE ART OF FOOTBALL – 14:00 and 15:00

MADE IN OSLO – 18:00

We will perform a short version of our classic from 1998 – “A Dance Tribute to the Art of Football” at 2:00pm and 3:00pm and “Gone” and “The Ring” from our triple bill “Made in Oslo” at 6:00pm. These pieces were created for a popular jazz company – Oslo Danse Ensemble which consists of lots of energy humor and emotions.

Both performances have been performed worldwide for a large audience and proven to be a door opener for children and young people towards performing arts and perhaps art in general. We want the summer program to contribute to as many people as possible having the opportunity to experience high-quality art.
