SUMMER CONCERT: Starlighters Big Band

The Starlighters Big Band is a 17-piece swingin' big band that plays a variety of styles reminiscent of the 1930's and 1940's as well as popular vocal standards from the era, as sung by one of our talented vocalists.
The Starlighters Big Band has been in existence since 1978, when it was founded by a group of musicians in the Speedway, Indiana area, headed up by Al Spangler, the Speedway High School Band director, who still plays with the band. The band is now led by Rod Hodnett.
