Join the Award winning Croydon Symphonic Band in their 51st season at Fairfield for a dance around the world. In addition to ‘Arabian Dances’ by Brian Balmages, the programme will include the ever popular ‘Suite for Variety Orchestra’, (commonly known as Jazz Suite No. 2) by Shostakovich; ‘Danse Bacchanale’ from the opera Samson and Delilah by Saint-Saens; A collection of ‘English and Scottish Dances’ by Malcolm Arnold; the ‘Berceuse and Finale’ from the Firebird Suite by Stravinsky and ‘Fair Field Festival’, specially written for the Bands 50th Anniversary by prolific wind band composer Philip Sparke.
