Start learning American Sign Language in a welcoming environment with a Deaf Instructor! Beginners Level and then some!About this Event
Hello Friend!
You're here. You've taken the very first step in starting your ASL journey. LAAD is proud to bring ASL Classes to you here in Lafayette!
Meet new people, stay cool, and learn American Sign Language (ASL) with a Deaf Instructor in a welcoming environment. This is ASL 1 (beginner's level) with other information such as history, culture, and more.
Learning American Sign Language (ASL) offers numerous benefits. First and foremost, it fosters inclusivity by enabling communication with the Deaf community. ASL enhances cognitive skills, as mastering a new language stimulates brain function. It opens doors to diverse career opportunities, especially in fields related to deaf education, interpreting, and advocacy.
Additionally, learning ASL promotes cultural understanding, breaking down barriers, and creating a more inclusive society. Whether for personal growth, professional development, or fostering connections, acquiring ASL is a valuable skill that enriches lives and contributes to a more inclusive society.
Our friend, Ms. Megan Montet will be your Instructor.
