This summer, young artists will discover the Gallery as they look at, think about, discuss and create art in new, creative and thoughtful ways!
From July 22 to 26, campers will have the opportunity to explore four exhibitions through activities and tours: Emily Carr: A Room of Her Own, HORIZONS, OF & ABOUT POSTERS: THE LAWRENCE WEINER POSTER ARCHIVE (1965–2021) AT THE VANCOUVER ART GALLERY and Black and White and Everything In Between: A Monochrome Journey.
Taking inspiration from the works and ideas on display, campers will then experiment in-studio with a variety of mediums and processes to create their own works of art.
At the end of the week, campers will celebrate with a Summer Camp 2024 exhibition on the final day of the camp, where work will be displayed and shared with family and friends.
Camps will be offered for children aged 7 to 10. Capacity is limited to 15 participants.
Please bring two nut-free snacks and a water bottle. Food and beverages will not be provided.
