Summer Camp: Art You Can Eat | For ages 7-12
About this Event
Art You Can Eat is a hands-on art camp where young artists ages 7–12 will explore color, texture, sculpture, and painting through food-inspired projects that look good enough to eat. Throughout the week, campers will experiment with a variety of art materials and techniques while creating playful works inspired by favorite treats and famous food art.
Projects will include giant 3D pizza slices made from butcher paper and mixed media materials, colorful chalk pastel donuts and a layered cake paintings inspired by Thiebaud’s iconic desserts, vibrant monochromatic citrus fruit studies, and construction paper burgers packed with creative details. Campers will learn about composition, shading, texture, layering, and color theory while building confidence in their artistic skills in a fun and encouraging studio environment.
Art You Can Eat is a week long, half day camp beginning on Monday, June 29 and wrapping up on Friday, July 3. The camp meets every day that week from 9:00am-12:00pm.
