Prowl the prairie with a ranger and learn about different bug-collecting techniques!
From pollinating flowers and feeding animals to keeping soil healthy, bugs are the foundation for all life on land, including ours! Scientists study arthropods to learn about how they keep the world healthy, but to do that, they need to catch them! Join one of our rangers for a guided bug hunt through Penn Farm.
When: Saturday, July 11th, 2026 from 1:00pm-2:00pm
Where: Penn Farm parking lot
Bring: Water, and a snack if you need one.

Wear: Good shoes for walking and dress for the weather!
Cost: Free with a $7 per person park entry fee or presentation of a Texas State Parks Pass. Children 12 and under are free to enter the park.
