Summer 2026 in Ephemera: A Junk Journaling Zine Workshop
About this Event
Letters, notes, ticket stubs, receipts and the like: we look at these small objects and see life reflected in them. They mark time. Collecting ephemera is a way to hold onto moments; it is an act of documentation.
So come on down to the Tranzac with your mementos of summer and let’s create our second annual time capsule zine together. Each participant will be asked to design 1-2 pages to contribute.
Issues of last year’s compilation zine — “Summer 2025 in Ephemera”, will be available to browse/purchase.
⏳ When: Tuesday, September 22nd from 6:30-9:30pm
⏳ Where: The Tranzac ~ 292 Brunswick Ave ~ The Living Room (first floor, accessible space)
⏳ What else? We will provide basic crafting materials — paper, glue, pens/pencils/markers, scissors, stickers, magazines, etc, but please bring your own ephemera or any specific materials you’d like to work with! This zine will be photocopied and distributed at the library and at zine fairs. The proceeds will go towards the library. PWYC. Masking preferred.
