Summer 2026 Baking Camp at Tal's- week 9 (grades 4+)

Have a young pastry chef in the making at home? This hands-on camp offers some useful baking skills and techniques, with lots of opportunities to get creative.
This session is all about European baking. From cream puffs to French macarons, scones and pretzels, your young baker is sure to learn a lot and have fun!
Day 1-
Assorted Cream puffs-
- We will make cooked choux dough, pipe cream puffs and bake to perfection.
- We will make fillings for our cream puffs
- We will fill and decorate our creations.
Day 2-
French macarons… the fanciest cookie of them all…
- We will learn how to make French Macarons from scratch. These delicate cookies are definitely an advanced baking exercise, but we know our teens can master the challenge!
Day 3-
Scones and pretzel prep-
- We will get busy making Tal’s popular Scones from scratch. While scones are baking, we will work on our bread for the next day.
- We will prepare the dough for our pretzels, by mixing, cracking, and kneading, and learn the secrets of yeast. Our dough will be handled and baked the next day.
Day 4-
Bread adventures-
- We will shape our pretzels , bake and finish them, sweet or savory style.
- We will also play with challah bread dough and create yeasted breads to take home.
