Here are a few things to consider when trying out for a new team...
Use the following as your compass with trying out for travel ball teams this Summer:
⚾️ Choose playing time over the most prestigious team.
⚾️ Choose development and practice over games.
⚾️ Choose mental/emotional stability and support over drama, "win at all costs" and "what have you done for me lately."
⚾️ Choose mental/emotional stability over revolving door rosters and heavy handed.
⚾️ Choose integrity and class over flashy and loud.
Because at the end of the day, it will be what your athlete is like at 18 and NOT at 8-10-12-14- even at age 16 that will determine how much longer he or she gets to play the game you're training them for. Always keep in the front of your mind that select/travel ball is the mode, not the destination. Let it work for you and do not let it become your master.
