To celebrate UTMB week we are super excited to announce that we will be screening the incredible WE ARE HERE documentary at SUMMAT on Wednesday August 26th! ⭐️

WE ARE HERE is a powerful new documentary film celebrating resilience, representation and belonging in the outdoors. Directed by award-winning filmmaker Carrie Highman of Dream Lens Media, We Are Here follows seven Black British women as they prepare for and compete at the 2025 UTMB World Series Finals in Chamonix, one of the toughest mountain ultra-marathons in the world.

The film explores themes of endurance, identity, visibility and belonging in outdoor spaces where representation has historically been limited.

One of the film’s central protagonists Rebecca Devereux will be joining us at the screening at SUMMAT. She is a vet, mother of two and member of Black Trail Runners - (a charity that works to increase participation, representation and inclusion of black people and people of colour in trail running) whose journey through endurance running and family life forms a key part of the documentary. Rebecca is also a part of our wider SUMMAT fam and is coached by Sam @kotwf

Rebecca’s husband, son and daughter also feature throughout the film, offering an honest and intimate portrayal of balancing family, work and the physical and emotional demands of ultra-distance trail running.

Rebecca said: It’s about so much more than running. It’s about family, courage, community and showing people that they belong in these spaces too.”

Everyone receives pizza, a drink and exclusive screening of We are Here

What pace is the run?

You must be able to run 5k in 30min and 8k in 45mins. We wait and regroup at key sections along the route! It's a mix of easy trail and hardpack gravel
