SUMM Studio - DIY Tessellations

SUMM Studio is a hands-on, creative math experience for families and learners of all ages, with 90-minute sessions every Saturday and Sunday. This session's focus is DIY Tessellations. You will design repeating patterns that fit together with no gaps or overlaps.
Led by an educator from the Seattle Universal Math Museum, sessions uncover the mathematics behind art and design, including geometry, and symmetry. No prior math or art experience is needed—just curiosity and a willingness to explore. Families and individuals alike are invited to slow down, collaborate, and experience math as creative, playful, and accessible. All materials are provided.
Cost:
$8 + tax per person with pre-registration (closes midnight the night before)
$10 + tax per person day of (purchase at the door)
Children under 5 attend free
