Suminagashi: Meditative Paper Marbling Workshop at McCarren Parkhouse

Join in for a night of meditative paper marbling at McCarren Parkhouse. Led by Kelly Laughlin, artist, writer, and founder of Odette Press, you'll learn the basics of the Suminagashi marbling process and find creative flow as you make your own marbled paper.

Truly a meditative class, this process is simple, inspiring, and relaxing. Drop out of the busy week into a creative flow and explore Suminagashi. No experience necessary.

the flow:

We'll start with creative introductions and a short intro to the suminagashi process. Then, relax into the flow and spend the rest of your time exploring ink, color, and shape as you make mesmerizing marbled designs. You'll leave with a collection of your own marbled papers -- great for framing, letter writing, gift wrapping, collaging, etc.

All materials provided. Ticket includes one drink from the bar, with n/a options.

refunds: Requests for full refunds can be made up to 48 hours of the event. Requests made between 48 - 24 hours of the event are eligible for Eventbrite credit for a future event. the space: This workshop takes place on a covered patio around wooden tables with glow lights and benches surrounded by landscaping. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available.
