About this Event
The Shared Use Mobility Center is turning 10 and we want to celebrate with you!
SUMC was founded in 2014 by Sharon Feigon, Susan Shaheen, David Bragdon, and Scott Bernstein. The founders envisioned SUMC as a source of information and testing ground for emerging shared mobility and its role in fighting climate change, promoting equity, and increasing safety and affordability.
Ten years on, the shared mobility space expanded, churned and matured. SUMC continues to believe in supporting the sector with resources, connection, and community to accelerate change.
To honor our 10th anniversary, SUMC is hosting an intimate celebration with the Chicago community that helped us get here and acknowledge the progress we’ve all made in shared mobility. And what better way than to cruise the river through the beautiful Chicago skyline.
Join us Tuesday, September 24, for a two hour boat ride hosted on Chicago's First Lady. Boarding begins at 5:15pm at 112 E. Wacker Drive, along the Chicago Riverwalk; please use the stairs on the NE corner of N. Michigan Ave & E. Wacker Drive. The boat will disembark at 5:30 and return at 7:30pm. Handicap accessible drop off instructions found here.
Guests will enjoy light apps, casual drinks, great networking, and spectacular views! While we wish we could host as many as possible, due to capacity constraints, this event is invite only and plus ones cannot be accommodated.
