Following on from the 2025 sold out tour, Wild Atlantic Music Tours is thrilled to announce a tour with Sullivan’s Songhouse. Sean Sullivan and Sheldon Thornhill will lead our musical journey along the Wild Atlantic Way in October 2026 … starting in Clare, we will then head east to Tipperary , Wexford , Cork and Waterford.

Sean Sullivan hails from Calvert on the Southern Shore of Newfoundland. Sean is one half of a folk duo called Sullivan & Slaney and they have enjoyed modest success both at home and abroad. Sean is the Owner/Operator of Sullivan’s Songhouse in his hometown of Calvert on The Irish Loop which has been in operation from his own kitchen since August of 2017. The Songhouse was honoured to win the ‘Cultural Tourism Award’ for the province of Newfoundland and Labrador in 2022.
Sheldon Thornhill is a world class entertainer who perfectly embodies the Newfoundland spirit and his personality is infectious! Sheldon’s unique style of playing the button accordion while singing at the same time is a site to be behold. Sheldon was a major part of a group called the Soirees who took their music all around the Avalon Peninsula of Newfoundland for 17 years and recorded several albums in the process. He is also Sean’s musical partner at the award winning Sullivan’s Songhouse in Calvert on The Irish Loop of Newfoundland.
The tour is a 7 night cultural, sightseeing and musical experience. The journey takes us through Clare, Cork, Galway, Tipperary, Wexford & Waterford. We limit the time on the coach as we visit locations steeped in Irish Music such as Dungarvan, Doolin and Ennis. Enjoy the spectacular scenery Ireland has to offer and visit world famous locations such as The Rock of Cashel, The Cliffs of Moher and The Aran Islands. Experience a warm Irish welcome in luxury hotels in Clare and Dungarvan.
Music and fun on the Wild Atlantic Way
Ceol agus craic ar Slí an Atlantaigh Fhiáin
The Wild Atlantic Way is a tourism trail on the West Coast of Ireland. The stunning 2,500km of coastline offers breath-taking scenery, invigorating sea swells, gastronomic gems and a warm welcoming atmosphere. The WAW is a haven for traditional Irish musicians. In every town, village and remote townland dotted along the Western Coast, there is a wealth of traditional Irish music sessions to be enjoyed. These sessions are informal and often impromptu, making the Wild Atlantic Way a little piece of music heaven
Music Tours
All our tour groups are accompanied by professional musicians. One of the highlights of each day is the ‘mini-concert’ held each evening which is dedicated to the group. These sessions will feature local musicians who will share music and stories in an informal and intimate environment.
