About this Event
This two-day training prepares facilitators to support individuals who have lost someone to suicide with empathy, structure, and care. Participants learn how suicide grief can differ from other types of loss, often involving complex emotions such as guilt, anger, shame, confusion, and stigma.
The training is based on Dr. Alan Wolfelt's closed-group model and emphasizes creating a safe, nonjudgmental, and confidential environment where participants feel heard and respected. Facilitators are guided on how to encourage sharing without pressure, manage group dynamics, and respond to intense emotions or silence in a supportive way.
Overall, the goal is to equip facilitators with the tools and confidence to hold space for healing, connection, and hope among suicide loss survivors.
This training is free of charge and training materials will be included. If you have any questions regarding this event, please contact [email protected]
