Inspired by metalcore’s early-aughts heyday, the band’s new EP “Mother of Thousands” fuses kinetic, rhythm-centric songwriting with alternating hits of complexity and chaos, crafting an experience that is at once visceral and cerebral. Sharp, angular riffs give way to churning igneous grooves while frontman Devin Rombough delivers a scathing indictment of humanity’s most egregious failures.
