Suicide Bereavement Service Coffee Morning
About this Event
The South East London Suicide Bereavement Service invite people bereaved by suicide to join us for a relaxed and social coffee morning in Beckenham.
Anyone who has lost someone important to them, either to suicide or suspected suicide, is very welcome.
You can attend alone or with family or friends who have been bereaved by suicide. If this is your first time joining us, please don’t feel daunted or apprehensive about joining; you will quickly find yourself in a friendly, understanding group.
What to expect
We will gather indoors at our SEL Mind office in Beckenham, offering a warm, welcoming and relaxed space for you to meet and socialise with others who understand what it’s like to lose someone by suicide.
If you attend, you are likely to hear other people's experiences of loss and grief, so it is worth considering whether you feel ready for this.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will of course be provided.
Timings
We will be open from 11.30am until 1pm. You are welcome to arrive and leave whenever suits you, whether this is for all or part of the time we’re open.
Getting there
Hayne Road is directly served by buses 194, 227, 354 and 358.
Beckenham Junction railway station and tram stop is 10-15 minutes’ walk away, and Clock House station is 5 minutes’ walk away.
There is limited parking on site, however, free parking is available on Whitstable Close, Elm Road and Westfield Road.
