This is a quiet, in-person Sufi meditation gathering centered on meditation, poetry, and mindfulness. We sit together in meditation, with readings from Sufi poetry (such as Rumi and Hafez). The atmosphere is simple, calm, and welcoming.
The meditation practice is rooted in dhikr (remembrance of God), accompanied by Sufi poetry and devotional music. No prior experience with meditation or Sufism is required. Participants come from a range of religious and non-religious backgrounds. The focus of the gathering is meditation rather than instruction or discussion.
Note: Location is Near Houston National Golf Club (but not on the grounds). Exact location will be provided after initial meeting.
