We're delighted to present a special screening of Suffragette, accompanied by an illuminating introductory talk, The Bristol Suffragettes, from local women's suffrage historian Lucienne Boyce.
Before the film, Lucienne will explore the remarkable stories of the women who fought for the vote here in Bristol, uncovering the city's pivotal role in the suffrage movement and the extraordinary courage, determination and sacrifice of the campaigners who helped change the course of British history. Her talk will provide fascinating local context to the events portrayed on screen, bringing the story of the suffragettes closer to home.
