EVENT NAME
WALK: Suffolk - Gentle walk around the Ickworth Park Estate
EVENT DESCRIPTION
Walk leader
This walk is led by Leah Hunt
Walk summary
Starting and ending at the main gates we will take a gentle walk around the Ickworth Park estate. The route will take around 2hours and is just under 5k/3miles.
This event is for plus size people of all genders to create a safe and inclusive space. We do not set a size restriction on this, but if you are smaller than a size 18/2XL we would ask you to consider if there might be other groups that you could attend.
Route description
The walk is on clear maintained paths varying between hard packed dirt, gravel and concrete. The route is flat apart from a small section near the church with a gentle slope. Overall the elevation change is only 20m for the full route. There are glimpses of the house as we walk around with fields of sheep and beautiful trees. As we approach the main house there is an opportunity to admire the neoclassical buildings set in stunning surroundings. There is also an opportunity to use the toilets in the main carpark if needed.
