Whether you are planting into the earth, blending a soil mix to fill a raised bed, or buying soil in a bag for containers, there are basic characteristics that all soils must have to support healthy plants. Discussion will include components and methods needed to build and maintain healthy soils, where to source ingredients, and best practices for watering and fertilizing.
