About this Event

PositiveNegatives, a non-profit creative research organization based at SOAS University of London, will join the London Migration Film Festival with a series of screenings that introduce the audience to innovative ways of 'disturbing' the conventional narrative of migration. By prioritizing subjective experiences and applying creative techniques such as animation and illustration, based on ethnographic research, the screenings aim to transform personal stories into art, educational, and advocacy materials.

The event includes a discussion with Dr Benjamin Worku-Dix (Founding Director of Positive/Negative) and Majid Adin (Illustrator and animator)

The event is chaired by Matthew Kispert (University of Westminster)

A drink reception will follow.

For further information please contact: Dr Federica Mazzara (University of Westminster.

The event is part of Beyond the Spectacle: Exploring the Nexus of Art Migration and the Law (you need to register separately for this event)

Venue: University of Westminster, 309 Regent Street, London, W1B 2UW. Room UG05.
