Everyone is welcome, bring a friend! This is a free monthly meetup hosted by Josh Kolbo at Realty One Group Sterling in Omaha, NE. We cover many real estate topics especially related to Subject To/Seller Finance strategies.
August meetup will have Sergio Martinez. Sergio began his real estate career in 2022 at 23 years old. Only a few months after becoming an agent, a colleague asked him to accompany her to a listing appointment because the house had bats—and she was afraid of them. She ultimately decided not to enter or list the property, so she passed the opportunity to Sergio. Instead of listing the property, Sergio found a way to purchase and renovate it. That unlikely opportunity became his first flip, produced a life-changing return, and gave him the confidence to pursue real estate investing full time.
Operating primarily in rural communities, Sergio didn’t have easy access to experienced mentors or a proven local playbook. Instead, he learned through taking action, making mistakes, overcoming adversity, and expanding into flips, BRRRRs, wholesaling, wholetailing, novations and private lending. Four years later, real estate investing has become his full-time career.
Sergio’s faith is the foundation of how he approaches business. He believes success is about more than profit—it’s the way he treats people, keeps his word, and serves sellers during what may be a difficult season in their lives. That sometimes means recommending a solution that earns him less—or nothing at all. Sergio will share how faith, integrity, humility, and resourcefulness helped him build a sustainable real estate business without a big-city market or a blueprint to follow.
