Matt Drey arts presents, at Kava Collective a collection of paintings and sculpture by Chris ReillyChris Reilly has painted in encaustic (molten pigmented beeswax) & mixed media on panel for thirty years in San Diego. He’s influenced by Buddhism & the sublime landscape. Using a heat gun & blowtorch to create & destroy with wax til he reaches a place of growth & decay that mirrors nature.
His sculptures are primarily carved wood & ceramic that he joins with a variety of mosaic techniques. They are icons of the animal/human spirit .
