Subject to Change: New Works for Violin Duo - presented by the Magari Ensemble

Join us for an incredible evening of innovative music and breathtaking performances! The Magari Ensemble is proud to present their latest project, featuring an eclectic mix of new works for violin duo performed by violinists Natalie Boberg and Caroline Jesalva. Prepare to hear an incredible all-female and gender diverse program featuring “Danse des Flocons” by Kaija Saariaho; Anna Clyne’s Prince of Clouds; selections from Jesse Montgomery’s newest violin work “Musings”; and the world premiere of “Ghost Weight” by performer-composer Olivia Wilkins-Becker.

Subject to Change is a contemporary music initiative led by violinists Natalie Boberg and Caroline Jesalva of the Magari Ensemble to perform, record, and publish new works by women and gender minorities for violin duo. This concert is made possible through a grant from San Francisco Conservatory and the 1,000 Dreams Fund. This concert is presented in collaboration with the Magari Ensemble, Pawprint Publishing, and San Francisco Conservatory of Music.


The Magari Ensemble, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, integrates talented musicians and artists with local communities through interdisciplinary multimedia events, reimagining classical music experiences and challenging traditional concert norms.
