The story of the bleeding woman has been subjected to generations of sermonising by male voices. This project invites those who identify as women to submit poetry, art or narratives reflecting on this passage. We hope to gather diverse perspectives and create a resource which challenges the traditional model of commentary writing and opens our hearts and minds to the strength of this nameless woman in a crowd.
This preliminary gathering will offer sharing story as a way into this project. We'll bring some art supplies with us - you are welcome to bring any in the medium you prefer, or may want a sketch or notebook for capturing your thoughts.
Please also bring a plate of morning tea to share.
