Preston Charles, aka SubDocta, exploded onto the scene in 2017 with his wildly successful single “2009 Was Tight”, catching support from some of the biggest names in dance music. SubDocta is known for producing his own brand of dubstep and bass music that he has dubbed “West Coast Wobble”, paying tribute to his upbringing on the west coast of the US.

Since 2018, SubDocta has been seen on a number of high profile tours, playing countless sold out shows with Ganja White Night, Excision, Riot Ten, Dirt Monkey, and Boogie T, amongst others. He also headlined 3 of his own tours since 2022 with support acts like Zingara, Black Carl, and sfam while having performed at multiple festivals including Lost Lands, Bass Canyon, Wakaan Fest, Dancefestopia, Freaky Deaky and more. Frequently supported by his peers, SubDocta has released many EPs and singles over the years and a full length album with prominent labels Subcarbon Records, Wakaan Records, Bassrush, Deadbeats, Drama Club and more.

Born and raised in Tampa, FL, Evan Cazes, known behind the decks as Evalution, first discovered his passion for music at eight years old. After pressing the keys of his father’s grand piano for the very first time, his infatuation with music grew exponentially. Evalution quickly took on other instruments such as guitar, bass guitar, and drums, and he began to develop his musical style and personal tastes by learning to play songs from his early musical influences such as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd.

Since beginning the self-taught journey of music production in 2018, Evalution has honed his craft and released many original tracks, remixes, and mashups that have garnered support from some of the biggest names in the industry, such as Adventure Club, Zeds Dead, Jauz, ATLiens, Jantsen, Subdocta, TVBOO, AND MORE.

As of the writing of this biography, Evalution has upwards of 50k monthly listeners on Spotify and has gained over 1.5M plays on SoundCloud. He has also landed label releases with some of the top labels in bass music including Subcarbon Records, Bassrush, Circus Records, Subsidia, Morflo Records, Odyzey Music and Bite This. Evalution has also been featured in largely recognized blogs within the EDM community, including UKF, HeardItHereFirst, EDM Maniac, Electric Hawk, EDM Identity, Headbang Society, and Wubaholics. 2022 was the year of establishing his style and break-though firsts; multiple festival performances (EDCO, Sunset Music Festival, Home Bass, Imagine Music Festival, Intersteller Music Festival, Fire Lights Music Festival) and releasing a large catalogue of innovative music. Fresh off of his massive 6 Track EP titled “Momentum” via Subcarbon Records, Evan is currently sitting on copious amounts of unreleased material and is ready for a monumental 2024.
