Jeffrey Jay (@heyjeffreyjay)
He/Him • Transgender Man
Jeffrey Jay is a Los Angeles-based transgender stand-up comedian originally from Texas City, Texas. He’s toured nationally since 2011, performing hundreds of shows that mix comedy and conversation. His credits include Riverdale (The CW), Pretty Little Liars (HBO Max), and the BEING Trans podcast featured in The New York Times and The Advocate’s “Top 7 Transgender Comedians.”
Nola Bradley (@mx.nolabradley)
She/They • Queer, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender
An LA native now based in Oakland, Nola’s comedy dives into trans discovery, sexuality, addiction, and mental health with wicked insight and vulnerability. She’s been called “unsparing yet vulnerable,” blending sharp social critique with unfiltered self-awareness.
Andre Margatini (@andremargatini)
They/He • Queer, Gay, Non-Binary, Gender Queer, Transgender
Bay Area-born writer, performer, and producer. Author of Fred: An Unbecoming Woman and host of the queer open mic Is it a bit…Queer? at Thee Parkside. Winner of the Three Strikes Comedy Competition and co-creator of Luigi: The Musical, featured in The New York Times, NPR, and CNN.
Nova Bradford (@nova.allcaps)
She/Her • Bisexual, Transgender
Nova is a writer, director, and all-purpose weirdo who does standup when she’s not producing street theater or disappointing her parents. You may have seen her at OASIS, The White Horse, or someone’s backyard.
Tanna Samone (@tannasamone)
She/Her • Lesbian
A San Francisco–born, Oakland–raised comedian, storyteller, and educator. Tanna’s comedy pulls from her experience as a biracial lesbian and youth teacher. She’s a host and producer with Comedy Q and has performed for Safe Words, Laughs w/ Benefits, Caribiner Comedy, Bangou Productions, and Redwood Nights.
Safe Words is San Francisco’s longest-running queer comedy showcase, creating spaces where queer audiences feel seen, celebrated, and safe — and where queer comedians can thrive without compromise.
