Study Write 11+ is offering students another opportunity to sit an 11+ Pre Test at The Crossley Heath School – one of the Halifax Grammar School's official 11+ test venues.
Since the transition to the FSCE-style format in 2025, our Pre Tests have been fully aligned with the new exam board adopted by the Halifax Grammar Schools (North Halifax Grammar and Crossley Heath) and Heckmondwike Grammar School. We provide students with an authentic experience that mirrors the most up to date structure, timing, and rigorous expectations of the real exam.
Each Pre Test will mirror the actual 11 plus exam, which consists of:
Paper 1: English and Maths questions with Multiple Choice Answer options
Paper 2: English and Maths questions where you respond with Short Written Answers
Paper 3: A Creativity question which will require a written Creative Response
✔️ Simulates the real 11+ exam conditions
✔️ Papers designed to reflect the recent changes to the 11+ and new exam provider (FSCE)
✔️ Held at an official test centre (Crossley Heath)
✔️ Ranked results + scores + expert feedback within 72 hours
✔️ We’ve been preparing Calderdale students for 11+ success since 2012
