From the organizers who bring you the Stud or Snotling singles event, we now present the very first Studs and Snotlings Team Event for Warhammer 40k! Stay tuned to this page for more updates!This will be a 5 Round (3-2), 32 Teams of 5 Players duking it out in a WTC style team event! It will take place at the Grand Guelph Banquet & Event Centre (the same venue the last Stud or Snotling was hosted) on September 16th and 17th.
Registration will be $700 for a team with an option of registering one non-playing coach (and sub with a submitted list) at no cost. Registration will open on June 16th at Noon (EST)
and the latest date for a Refund will be Friday, August 25th.
PLAYER PACK:
Player pack will be designed and posted after 10th is launched according to new rules, but terrain will be using a version of the Stud or Snotling terrain (with some variations based on 10th terrain rules) and have each line of tables (where teams would square off) set with 1 light, 1 heavy and 3 medium style tables.
CODEX AND FAQs
We will be using the most recent and available WTC FAQ (if any), otherwise in game rules will be the most recent release of FAQs and Codices up to Wednesday September 6th.
LIST SUBMISSION
All lists will be due to be submitted by Midnight on September 6th before the event. Teams will then have 48 hours to check over lists (we will assign teams for every team to check for ease), any lists found in error will need to have the least amount of adjustment needed to make it legal. After the 48 hours lists are locked and considered legal for the event. Any late submissions result in a battle point penalty for the player (or team depending on severity) in their first game of the event.
VENUE AND HOTEL
The Grand Conference Centre in Guelph will be providing drinks and buffet style meals for purchase the days of the event for player convenience, this is not included in the cost. We will post the menu of what is available closer to the date as we discuss it with the venue. There are several hotels across from the venue, the comfort Inn: 480 Silvercreek Pkwy N, Guelph, ON N1H 7R5, across the street is where we recommend (we are trying to work out a discount with them and the venue as well).
