Join us on Saturday, 1st February, from 10am to 4pm, for Flameworks' first open day and studio seconds sale of the year. Step inside our tardis of studios and meet our talented resident artists and associate members as they demonstrate their craft and share the stories behind their creations.

Explore the studios, enjoy a friendly chat, and uncover unique items in our artists' individual seconds sales. Rummage for experimental one-off pieces & quirky items with a charming wobble, you'll find a variety of handmade bargains. You might even discover a gem in old stock or spare materials perfect for your own creative projects.

Flameworks is a large shared workshop next to the river in Devonport, Plymouth. We host a community of professional artists ranging from painters and illustrators to blacksmiths and sculptors. The facility provides communal facilities that allow them to continue and develop their professional practice. We also offer a range of craft courses.

Flameworks is accessible via a set of 4 steps at the front of the building, this will give you access to the first floor. The ground floor can be accessed via the back shutter door by arrangement. Toilets are located on the first floor, unfortunately, these are not wheelchair accessible.
