Studio Meet-Up: Printmaking
About this Event
Join me in my studio in Mt Airy Philadelphia for a variety of printmaking activities that can be used with lessons in the classroom. We'll do collagraph printing using everyday materials like cereal and pasta boxes, Tetra paks (boxes that hold liquids), and milk cartons. We'll also do some Suminagashi (floating ink) and trace monotype printing. Time permitting, we can experiment with combining the techniques as well. Bring your own drawing/printmaking papers 8x10 or larger. You can always tear the paper smaller.
Optional materials: Bring your own printed photos or drawings that you'd like to incorporate with the processes.
Follow the driveway to the rear of the property. The studio is in the carriage house behind the house.
Street parking is usually available, but there is a public lot 1/2 block away on Germantown Avenue at (FitLife Gym).
Participants will receive 3 hours of Act 48 credit.
