Since 2012, I’ve focused on refining a style that blends minimalist lighting with a strong sense of purpose and vision. In this workshop, I’ll guide you through how to harness the power of your lighting gear to shape the narrative of your images.

The right tools are essential, but how you use them is where the artistry comes into play. We’ll dive into the relationship between light, shadow, and subject, with an emphasis on using your gear as a means to realize your creative intentions — whether that’s a soft, intimate feel or a striking, bold statement. My approach is centered on simplicity, but it’s always about making deliberate choices that enhance the overall mood and story of your portrait.

This isn’t about fitting into any mold or following a set formula — it’s about discovering how to make your gear work for your vision, while pushing yourself to think beyond the technical and into the creative. I’ll share insights into my own process, what I’ve learned along the way, and the importance of approaching every shot with intention.
