For the first time ever, Insomnia Gallery has called on local artists to pay tribute to the iconic and revolutionary Japanese animation studio: Hayao Miyazaki's Studio Ghibli! They are celebrating the studio's 40th anniversary and SO ARE WE!
Join us on Friday September 12th as we host dozens of local artists presenting Ghibli-inspired fan art, art of their own in the Ghibli style, creative mash-ups, Houston theme twists and more- all paying homage to the studio that revolutionized the animation industry and inspired filmmakers, animators, and artists alike for 40 years now!
FREE SHOW!! All ages welcome! Bring your dog if you'd like!
The event will be sponsored by Equal Parts Brewing, City Orchard Cider, Bad Astronaut Brewing Co, and Eureka Heights! We'll have wine and cocktail options and infused beverages courtesy of 8th Wonder.
